A Niko & Nimbus Story
A gentle picture book about big feelings, anger, and the calm sky behind every storm.

About the book
Meet Niko, a little boy with a cloud companion named Nimbus who changes color with every feeling. A picture book for children ages 4–8 about anger, emotional regulation, and the love that helps them through.
Inside the book

The blocks crash. Niko's heart races. The first rumble of thunder rolls in.

Nimbus turns dark and stormy. Big feelings flash like lightning across the sky.

After the storm, Nimbus is fluffy and blue. Niko breathes. The sun returns.
The S.S.S. Framework
A simple, repeatable practice woven into the story — gentle enough for bedtime, sturdy enough for the next storm.
Notice the feeling. Name the cloud rolling in — angry, hurt, scared, frustrated.
A body hug. Wrap your arms tight, hold for three breaths, and let the storm have somewhere to go.
Slow cloud breath. Breathe in soft for four, blow it out long like clearing the sky.
